Yep, Pawsat is getting valuable varsity experience and is doing EXTREMELY well! He's been in there in the close games and handled the pressure well. He's going to be a good player!

 

Pawsat is going to be a super player for the Royals. He's intense and all business when on the floor. He shows a great deal of maturity for a freshman. How many rebounds did he have?

Downing would have also helped on defense, as he is Mason's best defensive player.

Blaine Stull had a great game. He handled the pressure well and had 22 points and 8 rebounds. Brandon Rash gave his usual great defensive effort agaisnt Miller. Too bad Rash fouled out.

 

Maybe they can draw and analogy to the Giants. The Giants didn't beat the Patriots at the end of the regular season but they showed they could hang with them. They ended up winning when it mattered most.

Keith Downing is Mason's best on ball defender. If you disagree with that, then you have not watched him play very much this season.

He went through warm-up lines tonight and looked ok.

 

 

Warmups doesn not equal game play, and the intensity the kid brings. In essence, how can a spectator know how the kid feels. The right decision was made, and this time taken to heal will be good for the player. Winning without him is a huge sign of positives to come.

Dude, I've given the kid his props. He's a great defender and hustler for the Royals. I posted that he warmed up for informational purposes only. I thought some of the Mason fans might like to know that he did go through warm-up lines. Nothing more nothing less.

I'll also go on record as saying Keith is a better defender than Darius. That's no knock on either player.

I agree....you are posting with passion and leaving reality behind. Of course, everybody on here has some passion for sports.

Like Fraysure says, you don't lose credibility by having a opinion. I also said that Downing is the best on ball defender for Mason County. Darius Miller would not guard Stull and that is what I made reference to in a earlier post on page 1 of this thread. Downing would have had the assignment last night and there is no way Stull scores 22 if that happens. That is not a knock on Stull, but certain things would be different. Stull is a nice player but not a 22 point guy for the Indians. Downing draws the assignment on the perimeter player that has the ball the most and in this case it would be Stull.

 

I don't care about what rivals.com says about Darius, I know what he is capable of on the floor and don't need to refer to a .com to know how special of a player he is on both sides of the ball. I have seen that over the past seasons of watching the kid come through the program. Darius Miller is not in this equation....and the dude part....nice!

For Mason to be effective, Miller NEEDS more than 7 shots in a 32 minute contest. Basically, that is less than 2 shots per quarter, plus the free throw attempts. IMO, Miller needs to be more vocal of commanding the ball in the post, and when he does get it, quit waiting for the double down on him, and be the MAN amongst boys that he is. AKA... ITS MILLER TIME!!!

 

That is just his personality on the court & I assume off the court. I have been watching him since he was 10 years old & have always said he needs to be more aggressive on the floor, especially the offensive end.

Keith Downig is a great defender he brings alot on the defense end because he plays hard all the time and never gives in he is the most consistent on ball defender Mason has.
