Good comeback for Mason Co.

Good win for the royals on the road. I expected this to be a tough game. They have a great coach at Madison Central. Also I didn't hear the start of the game, who started for Downing? I would expect Phil Barner or Jackson Tolle?

How in the world does Jackson Tolle start for this team or even receive many minutes when there is so much talent in the freshman and sophomore classes to step in and contribute more offensively? Is he just used for fouling?

Obviously you haven't watched Jackson play very much. He is a very tough physical force on the inside. He can rebound very well, and is also great at getting to the free throw line, which is key for Mason County setting up there press!!

People under estimate Jackson because he has had to work so hard to become the athlete, football and basketball player, that he has become. Jackson has a lot to offer any football or basketball team.

 

If Chris O'Hearn has him starting, I am sure it is because that is what is best for the team. I have coached with Chris and I have tremendous respect for him because he puts what is best for the team ahead of everything else.

 

I think Chris is underrated as a coach as well. He is outstanding. He is a pretty good football coach as well.:sssh:

 

Coach O'Hearn and the Royals continue to win big game after big game. I am very proud of the coach and his team. We are fortunate and blessed to have Chris leading our program.

 

All In- I am not trying to be overly critical of your comments. I recognize what you do in that we do have some very good young talent. We may still not agree, but having coached Jackson and worked with Chris, I am confident that Chris knows what he needs to do, and follows through on it.

Many people do not realize that a coach's goal is to get a team on the floor/field that has chemistry. In basketball, it is not always the five best shooters or five best offensive players on the floor at once because the game is only played with one basketball and only one player can have that ball at one time. Defense, rebounding, passing, unselfishness is a big intangible.

 

I see Jackson Tolle as a very effective role player who does some of the unselfish things and brings leadership and chemistry to the Mason County team.

From the looks of those " GUNS " he has got, I don't think he does anything soft !

It doesnt matter if he can shoot free throws or not. Like I said above it helps mason county set up there defense when he gets to the line, and he can rebound like he is about 2 inches taller than he is. Keep up the good work Jackson.

Any team would be proud and fortunate to have Jackson playing for them if he never made a free throw. the facts are he shoots free throws well. He gives his all every minute on the floor and is a true team player.Congrats Jackson on earning a football scholarship to Georgetow

I'm sure Chris knows what's best for his team. I can't understand why people get on here and try to tear someone down. It sure doesn't show much class. Jackson Tolle is a great kid and works as hard as anyone on the team so let him start once in a while. It's a shame boys have to read this stuff.
