February 3, 200818 yr 1. The NBA game is a better fit for RR. 2. He's not THE MAN on his team so defenses don't focus on him. Having KG, Ray Allen, and Pierce certainly helps his cause. 3. His shot appears to have gotten a bit better. He is the perfect point guard for this team, well, if he could shoot, he wolud be. He can drive the lane, then he has 4 REALLY good options, shoot, pass to Garnett, pass to Allen, or pass to Pierce. A dream situation.

February 3, 200818 yr I thought he had a nice two seasons in Lexington, but the NBA does fit his style to a tee. I can still remember that 19 rebound game he had, that is a very impressive feat for a 6'1" PG.

Don't see that Tubby hindered him to much, but heck we have blamed everything else on Tubby might as well add this to the list! I've never bashed Tubby on here 1 time because I am a Tubby supporter but I have to agree with a lot of posts on here about this situation.Rondo's style vs Tubby's style just weren't meant to be.

Tubby didn't hinder Rondo as much as he hindered UK for not letting Rondo run. He certainly hurt Rondo's draft stock because of the syle of offense. If Tubby would have changed his game plan to run with the ball NBA scouts would have seen Rondo's ability to run a team on the run and he would have been a lottery pick. I was one of the people that bashed Rondo while he was at UK because he couldn't shoot, and I should have been bashing Tubby all along because he couldn't coach.
February 3, 200818 yr Tubby was too hard-headed to change his style of offense for one of the best PG's. Rondo had the ability to run, but Tubby made him run that half court offense. Rondo could have drove to the basket almost everytime.

February 7, 200818 yr Last five games for Rondo... 19.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 4.4 apg, 2.4 spg, 2.8 turnovers/game...in 30.8 minutes per game 56.1 % FG, 81.5% FT Not bad... If you figure those number per 48 minutes played... 29.9 ppg, 10.9 rpg, 6.9 apg, 3.7 spg, 4.4 turnover/game He's really playing well. I hope he keeps it up.

February 8, 200818 yr I think if Rondo develops his shot more, he could be in the same breath as Chris Paul was a year ago, as one of the good young point guards. With the team around him, he could be a star.
