I just heard thru the grapevine that Ashland Blazer's gym was flooded overnight do to an accidental overfiling of the pool. Can anyone confirm/refute this?

I would venture to guess horrible. You are right those two do not mix very well at all.

If you would dive on a lose ball, well it would cause a little damage to the skin. More than usual. Folks, its not good. Its about time to start passing the hat and seeing what we get, because new wood is needed.

Blazer's two remaining "home" games with Elliott and Rose Hill will be played at Russell High School.

The Kittens will play their games at Alumni Gym.

I really hate to hear this.....Big bucks just spent on the school renovation then to have this facing them....thats tough.....Not to mention likley budget cuts to begin with......

As for the money being spent, not much was spent on the gym. It was rumored that we would be getting a new floor in the next year or two any who. Now, it seems a little more a needed.

Is the court, setting on top of a concrete slab or elevated, with wood joists. Reason I ask, water can be absorbed by concrete and then in hot/cold cycles, expansion and contraction can result, leading to additional damage.

 

You hate to hear, about accidents affecting students and the use of a gym, for not only games but other activities.

I believe so. Games listed for the boys are on the next two Tuesdays.
