After the last Litkenhous ratings I have to wonder.

 

8 teams have winning records in regional play.

 

Anderson County 10 - 0

Gallatin County 13 - 1

South Oldham 9 - 2

Simon Kenton 6 - 3

Owen County 9 - 5

Walton-Verona 9 - 5

Shelby County 5 - 3

North Oldham 3 - 2

 

It is interesting that there are 2 teams from each district in these 8.

Looking at their records against only each other it gets real, real interesting.

 

North Oldham's 2 loses - at Owen Co. and at South Oldham.

Shelby Co.'s 3 - at North Oldham and home to Gallatin Co. and Anderson Co.

Walton-Verona's 4 (1 loss not to a team in the top 8) At SK, at Gallatin, home to Gallatin (Class A), home to Owen.

Owen Co.'s 4 (1 loss not to a team in the top 8) At Gallatin, at Anderson, home to Gallatin and South Oldham

Simon Kenton's 3- At Anderson, at Walton, home to Gallatin

South Oldham's 2- At Shelby and to Shelby at a Neutral site

Gallatin's 1- At Anderson Co.

Anderson Co. hands down. I believe Shelby Co. is second. I was at the game against Gallatin and Shelby was up by double digits at halftime. They just started playing sluggish in the second half. These two teams will run the tables come region tournament time.

I like Anderson and C.J. and will agree that they are on the top, but not hands down. Only road win against these 8 was at Shelby Co.

It will be interesting come regional tournament time. It is wide open this year to say the least.

Don't count out Oldham, the defending champ or Gallatin, the class "A" champ.

I will take Anderson and Glen Drury.

Oldham is not in the 8 listed but nobody picked them last year either. I would not doubt that by years end they will be hard to beat again.

The 8th regional tournament is wide open. The draw will be very important on who will advance to the finals, Tournament time is about match ups (when there is no clear favorite). I don't believe that Shelby and Anderson will both advance to the finals, but I think it would be safe to say that one will. I just hope the parking is in better shape at Henry before the regional tournament starts.

From what I have watched as these teams have banged on each other all season, I have to say that Gallatin and Anderson are the top 2 teams. Of course, I think Gallatin has the team, talent, and coaches to get them to the finals in the region. So does Anderson County. Should be fun.

 

I think Gallatin County will play in Rupp this year as the 8th region representative. I am a homer, and I know it and am not ashamed of it. I also said this in a thread way back before the season even started when nobody knew anything about how they would play. Gallatin is a good team with a good group of young men that just are hard nosed players.:thumb:

After watching both Anderson and Gallatin, I have to give the edge to Anderson Co. It seems that they can score when they want without much effort.

 

I think it will be very important on how the tournament draw goes. The exciting part is that any team could win it based on the season the 8th is having.

 

I would like to see a small school win, but I do not think they have the fire power that Anderson has, especially on the inside.

Huh?? Got me on this one...:confused: Maybe I aint sophisticated enough to get this type of cyphering, but what does how well GC plays in the all A have to do with the big region tourney in March?
