I actually reinstalled it about a year ago and got one of my then roommates to do the same. We decided to play each other in a LAN game and I actually beat him! This guy and I were the best at RTS games amongst our friends and in Starcraft I would come close so many times but could never EVER beat him! This time I not only beat him, I destroyed him and I didn't rush!! Man I was a happy camper.

Were you ever a fan of the C&C series? This last year has been HUGE for RTS gaming. Actually the last few years have. Within the last 4 years we have had: C&C3 Rome:Total War and its expansion Company of Heroes and its expansion Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War and it's 2, soon to be 3, expansions Supreme Commander(Total Annihilation revisited basically) Soon we will have Starcraft 2 as well. It's good to be an RTS gamer. :banana:

Interestingly enough, until Dawn of War came out Starcraft was the best Warhammer 40,000 RTS out there. MANY of the ideas and styles for the things in Starcraft and Warcraft came out of Games Workshop's Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 tabletop games. Actually if you click on the Gryphon Rider in Warcraft 2 and 3 enough and get to his agitated saying at one point he says "This Warhammer cost 40K, heh heh." Says it all right there. :lol:

I am a C&C fiend and I will never call Tiberian Sun good. :lol: Quite possibly the biggest video game disappointment of my life. It was unbalanced, uninnovative and slow paced. Red Alert 2 was what Tiberian Sun should have been gameplay wise.
January 31, 200818 yr My sisters roomate plays World of Warcraft all the time. He gave me a free trial to play it, and I could just not get into it. My favorite was Roller Coaster Tycoon. I was a big fan of all the Tycoon's but that was my favorite.
January 31, 200818 yr Red Alert- Loved it, Chronosphered crusier from behind is nasty. They're even better when you know how to use them against subs. I remember the first time I learned the hard way (since I didn't bother reading the manual) that you can't send humans through the chronosphere. Nothing like loading up an APC with 5 Tanyas and chronosphering it, only to find that each and every one of them is gone.

February 1, 200818 yr Backyard Baseball Although that, Backyard Football, and Backyard Soccer are solid choices, I'm kind of disappointed at what you forgot to mention. Actually I don't think anyones said it, and that's the original Roller Coaster Tycoon. I can remember spending entire days playing that game with my friends when I was younger. Not the best way to spend my time, but it was still fun nonetheless. I still bust that game out from time to time even though there's probably a dozen newer versions out by now.
February 1, 200818 yr By todays standards,I can't say that these are the best,but they ARE my all time favorites..I still play them The original Bard's Tale (all 3,mind you)..My all time favorite RPG The original Railroad Tycoon (I can play it all night!!)
