Never been to McCreary Central is it a tough place to play.

 

That gym can get rockin'... especially for Tuesday's game. The local newspaper has it billed as the biggest game of the year and encourages the county to attend the game in with the "black out."

For a school the size of McCreary and to have had very solid seasons the past couple of years it looks like they would have a good student backing but the couple of games I've been to over the past couple of seasons there seems to be no student section at all. The crowd size seems decent and it seemed the fans cheered pretty loudly but there was just no section where students gathered like at Pulaski or Somerset or SW (when they were playing well) that can make a home floor a real advantage. While I'm on the topic I'll also give credit to Lincoln, Boyle, W Jess and Mercer for having good student sections.

That should look pretty cool if they get it packed--and they should for Lincoln.

McCreary has had problems with the student section. Usually, they section will be on the opposite side of the floor (away) and in the center. When they do this, they have problems with away fans and then the administration made them sit.

After another good performance tonight against Madison Central lookout Raiders the big red machine is comming for you. Lincoln by 10.

After seeing Lincoln tonight and previously watching McCreary there is no comparison. Lincoln is 15-18 points better on a neutral site. McCreary supporters may want to thing that MC is the 2nd best team in the 12 Region but the fact is unless LC has a really bad night MC is no better than about 5 other teams that are at least 2-3 levels below the Pats.

One thing I have noticed about Lincoln County is that they usually play better in the bigger games. I look for a 74-62 win by the Patriots. It should be a good one. Will the broadcast on 102.9 be live or a replay later.

 

I have watched Lincoln 4 or 5 times this year so I know of their big 3 and surrounding cast. Can someone give me MC's lineup and strengths. I know of Watts but none of the others.

They will get good ball movement and find the open three. If that's not available, look for Roark, Phillips or Watts to drive deep into the paint. Although Musgrove is small, he is a rebounding machine - as is the taller Phillips. I know Lincoln County isn't 15-18 points better on a neutral site. McCreary has had a couple of bad games this year - @ West Jessamine and Southwestern. The Raiders can shoot the lights out. If Watts gets a fingers reach on his defender, he will pop the three in their eye. McCreary had 11 three pointers in their win at Scott County.

This will be a competitive game. I was impressed with the Raiders last year when they came to LC and won.

 

LC is a different team this year, they love to run and pressure the ball. Spurlin is finally getting is health back, which adds a new dimension to the team. This will be a very close game, and will be very difficult for the LC to pull out. I will gladly trade a loss here for a win in the region,:ylsuper:
