If "Chief" Orb Bowling ended his HS Bball career with 5000+ points in the 50's then all I can say is that that team must have REALLY run the scores up on a few ballgames! :thumb:

Wasn't Orb Bowling a 7'0" that got a scholarship to play at Tennessee? That is what some in West Liberty have said over the years, they said Sandy Hook had an unreal team back in the day.

Someone needs to call the KHSAA to inform them of all these terrific scorers because on their "TOP INDIVIDUAL SCORERS" list there is no one from Elliott County or Sandy Hook High School listed. There is a minimum of 3000 points scored to make the list. That is, of course, for high school scores only.

The Rocky era was my time. I played against him and followed his career at Morehead. Not taking nothing away cause he was a tremendous player, but he didn't play much varsity as a frosh. He started as a sophomore and averaged around 15-16 pts. As a junior he averaged right at 20. As a senior he averaged I believe 23 might have been 24. 25 games(approx.) per season

Do the Math.

I guess we'll just have to ask Rocky ourselves when we see him at the game! Nothing like going directly to the source!!
