AnswertheBell
Exactly! I don't think they want the investigation team digging any farther. By this I mean to try and prove this as recruiting. Which would be very hard to do. Would be a very big blow to the sleeping giant.
Lunatic1
This is a prime example of the differences between private and public schools. At public schools you really dont have to worry about money but we all know that public schools recuit in some shape or form. I think that there has to be more to this story due to the fact that LCA didnt fight the accusations, they just paid there way out of trouble.... I really doubt there are many single "A" or double A public schools that are recruiting. Look how rural most of these schools are...Some might get lucky and have a new student move in that can play sports but for the most part that does not happen. Coach Hard
Well, I guess regardless of our opinions on the topic, I think Coach Rains has done the right thing with this letter. ParisPride makes a point, but we can only take people on their word. Maybe he knew, maybe he didn't...either way it doesn't matter, the program has the stain on it from all of this. It will continue to add fuel to the debate. I think at this point, ALL of the "LCA" posts should be kept to the PUBLIC VS. PRIVATE forum. Basically folks, that is all we're doing here is debating that aspect of what should be done in the overall state approach to that issue.
IC
It sounds to me like those in charge "Washed their Hands" and allowed others to do the dirty work. It's much easier to deny when you aren't directly involved in the indescretion. But like anything else in life, if you are a leader and rules are violated you need to be held accountable. theguru
I want to wind this thread down. I don't have any special knowledge about LCA but in general terms I have to wonder if some schools don't have too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
