Greenup County Cancellation

The Greenup County versus Elliott County game has been canceled. I'm sure there is a real good reason for this, but I bet the other teams in the region wish they had a real good reason too! Elliott is just slashing through the 16th.

I don't remember. They announced it at the game tonight.

Greenup is not on Elliott's schedule for the rest of the season. They played 12/1/07.

Sometimes teams who are in danger of going over the limit due to deep runs in holiday tourneys, All-A, etc. need to cancel games. Even if that's the case, I don't know why a certain game would be cancelled and not another - in other words, I don't know how they pick the game to cancel.

 

Was the first game the one with the score that was run up or not run up, depending on who you listen to?

Before making false judgement everyone might want to check. Elliott County might have cancelled due to them going over the limit of games.

This is true. If either of these teams were close to running up thier game count because of tournaments I would assume it would be Elliott County.

I am looking a 3 different schedules and they only play Greenup 1 time and that was 12-1-07.

this was not a cancellation...it was a misprint on some of the schedules that had been printed and passed out in the GC community...that is why it was announced at the game and why that all other schedules are correct (See the KHSAA schedule).

 

Also the same misprinted schedule had a West Carter date for February that is also misprinted...the WC game is this Sat.
