Montgomery County 92 St. Patrick 63

Final from the MCIT opening round game.

Didn't see a thread on this one. MC dominated from start to finish. Way too big and strong for the Saints, and the Indians hit a real high percentage of their shots, inside and out.

Stephens of MC looks to be light years ahead of where he was last year. Better at running the floor, much improved footwork.

Very shocked by the margin of victory here. Really thought St Pat would keep it closer than this. MC had a 30 rebound edge on the boards that was the story of the game.

Mont Co 26 51 80 92

St Pat 11 31 50 63

Mont Co

FG's 41-81

FT's 3-11

3's 7-16

TO's 16

St Pat

FG's 27-63

FT's 4-6

3's 5-18

TO's 18

How was the crowd tonight?

I think the above pictures will give you an idea, fairly sparse.

I thought maybe the Saints would hang around for a half. But that was also based on not having seen the Indians this year. Glad to hear they are getting something out of Stephens this year. Does anyone have individual stats?

Lower level half full on both sides; a few more on the St. Pat side as expected.

Montgomery dominated the boards and hit a lot of 3's. i do not know the total rebounds, but it was 36 to 11 at half time in favor of the Indians. I really thought that the Saints would pull the upset in some people's minds. Montgomery was just too physical and strong for the Saints.

Those are some pretty good pictures.

Thanks for the photos. I've never been to the Fieldhouse so it's nice to see what it looks like.:thumb:

Wow--This looks like the crowd at the JV tourney on a Saturday morning?? The MCI Invitational--"Friends and Family"?? :D

Not surprized by the winner, but the margin?

The original schedule probably expected a sparse crowd for these two games (thus scheduled for Thursday). The semifinals should have been tonight at I'm sure the Fieldhouse would have been hopping with Mason/Brossart and Montgomery/Campbell. Maybe tomorrow.

My friend did once say that she was not going to go see the MCIT game because it was called the Mason County Invitational Tournament and she was not invited.:irked:

The Tribe could have won by much more if they chose to. Montgomery did not press much during the entire game and the starters were pulled mid-way through the third quarter and did not return. The 10-15 players from Montgomery played the last 5:30 or so.

St. Pat just doesn't have many weapons other than Anderson and Owens.

You are welcome. :thumb:

I figured we had a few people on the board that haven't had a chance to see a game there yet.
