Yes, those are your opinions, but when you say things that you try to pass as fact (such as UM having a hard time getting to a bowl and OSU losing 3-5 games every year) that just plain WRONG, thats where the problem arises.

Those records were compiled in the Big 10 so they really don't mean nothing in a comparison of conferences. How about the 0 for 8 bowl record against SEC teams in bowl games if you want to compare conferences?

wow, you're hard headed. So again, you wont say that you were wrong that OSU does NOT lose 3-5 games every year. Look at this again

 

2001 - 7-5

2002 - 14-0 (National Champions)

2003 - 11-2 (Fiesta Bowl Champions)

2004 - 8-4 (Alamo Bowl Champions) Destroyed #7 Michigan

2005 - 11-2 (Fiesta Bowl Champions) Only losses were to #1 and #3 teams

2006 - 12-1 (National Championship Game)

2007 - (11-1) (In Championship Game)

 

Ok now, look at the BCS bowl wins. Those are games played outside of the conference.

 

Again, I'm not trying to say that overall the Big 10 is better than the SEC, because its not, but atleast get your facts straight. Don't go off saying whatever you feel and trying to pass it as truth.

Look at my post.. I didn't say every year. I said this season. And as far as bowl records. I'll take the SEC's all time record of 179-172. And I'll let you have the Big Tens 115-148.

Ok fine... this year, OSU will not lose 3-5. At worse they will finish 11-2, possibily 12-1 with a NC.

Fine, what about Michigan's sparkling record against the SEC in bowl games? How is that for a comparison of conferences? You can manipulate stats any way you see fit.......but it always cuts both ways.

 

Personally, I think both are among the elite college football conferences year in and year out. Neither is "weak", both are extremely competitive conferences.

 

If you really think OSU would lose 3-5 games or UM wouldn't make a bowl in the SEC, well, wow..........that's all I can say. UF gets a pass on being handled by UM in the bowl? Imagine that. :lol: Somehow, I'd be willing to bet that OSU doesn't get said pass on last years NC game.

Yes, Michigan in their 18-20 bowl record has faired excellent against SEC competition. And, If you will look at my original post I didn't say that wouldnt' make it to a bowl, I said might not. And as far as OSU's humiliation last season. If it had been the least bit close, and Florida had a beloved coach retiring after the game. Yeah, I coulda give them a pass.

You really are ridiculous. To say that the Big 10s top 2 teams (OSU and UM) couldn't compete in the SEC is crazy. As I have said many times already, the SEC is much deeper and is the better overall conference, but the top 2 teams from the Big 10 would be near the top year in and year out.

And as far as OSU losing 3 to 5, look at there schedule. They played 3 ranked teams. The highest being Purdue, #20 at the time of the game. Of course they did manage to get past in state powers Akron, Kent St., and Youngstown St.

Well, Since I'm talking about Bowl wins Michigan is now 19 - 20 overall. with a 7 - 3 record against the SEC. Sooooooooo, By my math Thats OSU and Michigan 7, SEC 11, And as far as the Carr situation, I'm sure he was loved by his players. And last time I checked that was who was on the field. And unless Ginn was gonna play defense I really don't think you can even bring that up.
