This is the kind of thing that makes a lot of people fear or have distrust in law enforcement officials who are supposed to "protect and serve".

The topless woman one is debatable. I have no problem with them luring wanted felons with promises of a prize. The one that stands out to me is the one where they leave a wallet or bag lying around and wait for someone to pick it up. Especially when you consider that a lot of the time people turn in stuff like that.

Reading the article, I can't believe they're comparing these to drug and prostitution stings. I think the cops should keep their stings to drugs, prostitution, and child molestors. I see nothing wrong with the Texas police using a free xbox scam to lure in already wanted criminals. However, the NYPD and Columbus operations are a joke IMO.
