9:30am - Gallatin County vs. Villa Modonna

11:15am - Lloyd Memorial vs. Conner

1:00pm - North Bullitt vs. Raceland

2:45pm - Holmes vs. Magoffin County

 

Bottom Bracket

4:30pm - South Oldham vs. Beechwood

6:15pm - Monroe County vs. Newport

8:00pm - Boone County vs. Owen County

9:30pm - Silver Grove vs. Daviess County

 

I would think Holmes and Boone County are the favorites. I do not know a whole lot about the other teams in the tournament. What are your thoughts about the teams/games?

My thought is the Silver Grove game may start closer to midnight than 9:30. The people running this better hope none of the early games go into overtime. As for teams, Holmes, Boone and Daviess are the best 3.

I agree 1 1/2 hour for a game is to close and could cause problem's down the road. I like Boone and Holmes in this one. JD

They were running 1 1/2 hours at the Lex Cath tourney and it ran right on schedule. Won't they be using both gyms?

Looks like an hour and 45 minutes for each game other than between the last game. That should help out.

For which team(s)? The Championship bracket games start at 8:00pm on Sat, But the first game of the day starts at 9:30am.

 

Holmes should win the upper bracket, tonight's game between Boone Co and Daviess Co will be a good one, with the winner more than likely advancing to play in the championship 8:00pm on Sunday.

I think Boone has a few really good sophmores. Is this right? I have heard they do, but was not sure.

Boone Co. has 3 sophomores who start regularly, and 2 others that see significant playing time.

 

They will probably start 4 tonight (like last night) and the next week or two because one of their starters (McFarland) is out with a sprained ankle.

I understand that Daviess Co. beat Boone tonight 77-73. Was Boone ranked in the state? Is this a upset. Daviess is good I have seen them a few times and what is scary about is they play alot of underclassmen
