December 24, 200718 yr Im staying at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel its on Commerce Street. how close is it to everything? I know nothing about Nashville. Wireman I got ppl crashing at my place already or Id open the door. Your really close. I think that it is just one block north of Broadway, and maybe a block or two from the start of the bars (around 5th St) like Legends Corner, Tooties, The Stage, etc.

December 24, 200718 yr Right now, rooms near downtown Nashville are going to be expensive and few and far in between. It is tough getting a room for New Years without having an additional 40,000 people or so in town for the ball game. Bad thing about Nashville is the lack of hometown establishments and so many flock to the downtown area. Thanks but no thanks.
December 24, 200718 yr Not positive....mainly highway. Mapquest the distance. Call the Nashville Visitors Bureau and ask if they have any packages or know of any open hotels. Once you are on Broadway, everything is within walking distance. You can walk to the stadium. THere is a pedestrian bridge across the Cumberland that takes you right to the stadium. The hotel may even have a shuttle. How many of you are going down....shouldnt be much to split a cab fare. I have friends that live in the Brentwood/Antioch area. 10 minutes from downtown is being generous, by cab, especially on New Years. You are looking at anywhere from $40-$80 cab ride, depending on your exact destination. The more the better
December 24, 200718 yr If you want to avoid the downtown mayhem, I suggest heading over to the West End or a grouping of bars just off Demonbreun - places a little closer to the University. Still not far from downtown, but if you are staying on the southern portion of town (i.e. Brentwood), a lot better access and easier to get a cab.
December 24, 200718 yr I would try Priceline...I was looking to stay in Brentwood or Franklin and ended up getting the Opryland Hotel for 89.78 including tax! :dancingpa

December 27, 200718 yr Author Ok, I have found 5 motels within 6-8 miles and the price range is $65-85. I don't think I'm going to be able to do any better than that. Do you guys think I can do any better than that, or should I go ahead and reserve them this morning?

December 27, 200718 yr Author That is the best you are going to do. Where exactly are they located? 1) Extended Stay America - Nashville, Airport - 6.97 miles - $63 a night 2) Crossland Economy Studios - Nashville, Airport - 5.78 miles - 72.99 a night 3) La Quinta Inn - Nashville, Airport - 6.57 miles - 85.00 a night 4) Comfort Inn - Already booked up 5) Knights Inn - Nashville, Airport - 8.00 miles - 55.00 a night

I would check and see if the hotel will offer some sort of a shuttle service. I am telling you, the Nashville cabs will get you.
December 28, 200718 yr Author I booked my room today. I was pretty happy - I'm about 7 miles away from Broadway and the room was only $75 a night as a 2 1/2 star motel. I won't complain about that at all. They also have free local transportation. That probably won't get me 7 miles, but it should get me a couple, at least.:thumb: If anyone else wants to meet up or anything, message me and I'll get you my cell #.
December 28, 200718 yr I've got a couple extra rooms at the West End Hampton Inn. It's about 1 mi from the strip on Broadway, a very nice hotel that we stayed at last year. They have a shuttle to the game, but Cab fare was less than $10. PM me if anyone needs one, I can switch it over. I think they are around $175 per night.
