Some of the people on this video are BGP members but all were Lincoln County football players or coaches at one time or another.

This report was made by Jeff Piecoro, who is the current color commentator on the UK Football radio network. It aired on the late newscast after Monday Night Football on the Monday after Thanksgiving in 1985.

Man, time really flies. This seems like yesterday but it was 22 years ago.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Looking good!

Jim "To Tall" Estes? Bad grammar and wrong name!

The interviewees had their share of bad grammar too. :thumb:

The good ole days

You know, I always wondered what Al Borland did before he was on Tool Time.

Man, I'm sure glad I didn't look that bad back then!

All I can say is Wow !!!! That brought back some memories of some people in that clip.

It also reminded me of similar games in Junction City that I participated in. (And on one occasion broke 3 ribs in.)

Mr. Network, I never remembered those moves on a Friday night! Why didn't you guys let Jack Rabbit play?

There are three current Principals from the Lincoln County school system and a sitting School Board Member on that list. My co-commissioner is a former LC head coach and current city Councilman.

In his first year as an Assistant at Lincoln County, we listed in the program, among other things, that he was the co-commissioner of the PTL football league. The Professional Turkey League (PTL) eventually disbanded but may reunite this weekend if the weather is good. I have my own team now and we will be down there for the Holidays.

Those were good times.

That video is a classic!!!

I remember them well. :thumb:

Snookie looked like, "Get that camera out of here."

Those are some interesting memories. I forgot that Kenny ever looked that young. He's aged, gracefully.

My question is, was this before or after he and Jay decided to "strike back?"

I don't get the reference. I assume you are talking about "Silent Bob" but I can't find a connection.

Yeah...me neither.

I don't know anyone in that video, but it was a great video. We here in Pulaski used to play our own turkey bowl as well. This brought up those fond memories.

Thanks for sharing this!
