The gamble though, Sportsanaylst, is that redshirting them both will probably do in any chance of us making the tournament. It could even potentially make us be below .500.

They really need these guys back for this year, but I wouldn't see why you wouldn't want too. This isn't UK's year, we all know that, so redshirt them and bring them back to a team who next season ( If PP stays ) should be a lot better than this year.

If Meeks, and Jasper redshirt, we could have an "under classmen" group including PP, Meeks, Jasper, Liggins, Miller, and whoever else BCG gets to join the troops.

 

While this season is going to be long and hard, the year or two should prove to be fun.

IIRC, the Coury camp contacted Tubby because they saw the lack of PF competition. So basically, Tubby didn't recruit him, he just fell into Tubby's lap.

I think what we are saying as a KY fan is that Tubby did not leave us with a decent inside team. Meeks and Jasper are average guards on a Div 1 team. We have a walk on starting in the inside for us. Even if Meeks an Jasper come back this year we are still barely above .500 team. Rebounding in the SEC will kill us. Bradly, Crawford are going to have to do alot better than they are now. Crawford cannot afford to not show up some games. he has to have a final boxscore that is consistent. We are going to take our losses this year and might as well get ready for them, no excuses. we are down and hopefully with a good recruiting class next year BCG can come back strong.

Honestly tell me if Meeks and Jasper were both healthy do you think they (Crawford & Meeks) still would be playing the same amount of minutes? I don't think so. Crawford would be lucky to sniff the floor if Meeks were healthy. And Bradley (while he does have the occasional good game) is a very dumb basketball player. He has the worst basketball IQ that I have ever seem a player have at UK.

I'm not one to bash, I was excited as anybody tos ee Bradley and Crawford come to UK, but they have both been a big let down, Bradley has a low IQ with basketball and Crawford attitude stinks, he could be a player if he wanted to I honestly believe that.

Meant Crawford and Bradley.

He left some quality guards, but not even serviceable big men. Heck, UK is starting a kid that walked on after HE contacted Tubby.

Not if all of the Florida, UNC, Kansas, etc guys all returned. We've been through this, everyone loses good players early. It's not an excuse. One recruiting class doesn't make you a good recruiter. This team has no juniors and only an OK soph class.

Meeks and Jasper are better than OK..Tubby got Crawford who was a MD. All American.

So, in essence, he recruited what should have been a good senior class.

Junior class is weak.

Sophomore class with Meeks and Crawford has strength in it.

 

Two of his last 3 classes should have been good.

Didn't pan out that way.
