Not sure i agree with every pick. How do you leave Carver & Denton off of this list totally? of course I'm sure there were several quality players missing from the list.

I wont even begin to comment on these picks. I dont think he watched too many games this year. I think about half of them are good picks, but definetly questionable picks after that.

I thought I read that Mav White from East Carter was on the list at linebacker.

I agree..I realize it's hard to narrow down a decent list with several good players in this area, but at least i think an honorable mention list could have been submitted.

Of course if the ADI would have covered more of the games they should have (regardless of being supposedly "short-handed") then maybe they would have noticed the play of several other good players.

Who would you have added to the list?

Denton and Carver are great backs and should be on the list but they did miss several games due to injury maybe Mr. VanKirk took that into consideration. Raceland and LCA will be loaded next year and both should compete to see who goes to Louisville. Good luck to all the teams in their offseason programs.

Who would you have added to the list?

There are a lot of players I can see adding to the list and a lot I could see removing. Just my opinion though. I am surprised by the Underclassmen on the list and some of the Seniors that didnt make it.

Who are some of the names that come to your mine.

I dont understand how Boyles from Raceland didnt get QB for this team. He lead his team all season and put up some nice stats. There was obviously no QB in the area this year that really seperated himself from the other QB's but from watching Boyles play, he is the most athletic and the best decision maker in the area. I believe out of the QB's who had 100 or more pass attempts in the area, he threw the least amount of interceptions. I think Craft threw more int.'s then td's. No taking anything away from Craft, he is a good ball player and finished the season strong but IMO Boyles was the most consistant all season long.

Also, Brett Denton has to be on this list somewhere. IMO he is one of the best all-around football players that I watched this season.

I think you have a point, RamCat. Boyles was the best passer in the area, and made great decisions. VanKirk did not want to list a player on both sides of the ball, so I would have to have Bolyles at safety. I think he led the area in INT's, with something like 6.

As for Denton, I think that I would have put him in the LB spot, averaged over 10 tackles per game.

Also, I don't think that many people have read the article that is attached with the list of players, because some people are complaining about things that are answered in the article.

Here are Eric Craft's passing stats from this season:

13 Games

324 Attempts

166 Completions

15 TDs

14 Ints

1,713 Yards Passing

And Craft, who still has a year remaining, was the best I saw at finding the right receiver and then connecting with that guy.

Tyler Boyles Passing

12 Games

254 Attempts

139 Completions

10 Interceptions

1582 Passing Yards

15 Passing Touchdown

There are more players to consider than Raceland players. I agree Denton should be on the list, but there has to be other players mentioned besides kids from Raceland. I know we are fans of particular schools but Craft led his team to a district championship and I think Greenup was the most improved team in the area at season's end.

Tyler Boyles Passing

1582 Passing Yards

15 Passing Touchdown

Passing for 1582 yds is a great accomplishment especially when you consider he had two RB's like Denton & Carver. The thing that impressed me the most about Tyler is his leadership ability.

Tyler was also one of the top DB's in the area as he made big plays all year and had several INT's.
