There are more players to consider than Raceland players. I agree Denton should be on the list, but there has to be other players mentioned besides kids from Raceland. I know we are fans of particular schools but Craft led his team to a district championship and I think Greenup was the most improved team in the area at season's end.

 

It's just a discussion. Name the players that you think should or could have been on the list. I agree that Denton could have easily have been on the list, probably at the LB position. I think Boyles should have been on the list, not at the QB position, but at the safety position, he had 6 INT's and several broken passes, with decent tackles.

 

Just my opinion, I'm not saying that the players named does not deserve to be on the list, because they are good players. I'm just giving food for thought. In all seriousness this list means nothing, it is just Adam VanKirks opnion on who the best player is in the area by position. It is not an all-star team, just his opinion.

 

Again, name the players that you thought were the best at their position.

Passing for 1582 yds is a great accomplishment especially when you consider he had two RB's like Denton & Carver. The thing that impressed me the most about Tyler is his leadership ability.

Tyler was also one of the top DB's in the area as he made big plays all year and had several INT's.

 

Very true Cvill, he passed for over 1500 yards (spreading the ball to 6 different receivers), when he had a back with 1100 yards rushing, and another back with over 700 yards rushing. A very balanced and potent attack.

One interesting fact...by season's end, Eric Craft did not have his #1 and #2 receivers available:

 

(Jr.) Drew Hannah #25 went down with a knee injury during pre-game of the Raceland game. (Missed 9 of 13 games.)

 

(Jr.) David Berry #30 was injured while running through the hoop during pre-game introductions of the Rowan County playoff game. (Missed 3 of 13 games.)

There are a lot of players I can see adding to the list and a lot I could see removing. Just my opinion though. I am surprised by the Underclassmen on the list and some of the Seniors that didnt make it.

Was nice to see Donnie Bryant from Boyd on there though. Might be some complaints from some because he is only a Sophomore, but he was an animal in the game that I saw.
