Never a dull moment in a Paris/Harrison game.

For all you fans out there, flash back 3 or 4 years when Harrison won after sending the wrong girl to the freethrow line... Now fast forward to tonight. Paris sent the game into overtime (after Harrison took their first lead) on a controversial call. #22 for Paris fumbled the ball before shooting her 2nd FT attempt. She walked out of the circle to get the ball. A Violation was not called. Fillie fans and of course Mac Whitaker were furious and demanded an explanation.

Now in overtime.... a fight between two players occured.. punches thrown, technicals called, and ejections warranted for both girls.

Horrible ending to the game, but congrats to Paris on their first win of the season.

Girl from Harrison was Lorraine Dennie. Not sure of Paris girl but I believe it was the coaches daughter. As you can tell from the news, #24 of Paris was trying to run back down the floor when she got slung to the ground by Dennie... very sad and disappointing.

According to the channel 27 news, Gabrielle Brooks from Paris and Loraine Dennie from Harrison Co. They were going after a rebound following a missed free throw.

Girls basketball is a joke , they let the girls just go out there and play football for 32 mins , Its not only the REFS but all the coaches that the schools hire . ITS JUST .:scared::

I have coached against the Dennie girl several different times and all of my players say that she cusses them on the floor, she tries to start fights with them.

 

I hope she gets her head on straight because she is a great athlete and has the potential to be a very good basketball player if she lets this stuff go.

I saw this on the News. I really don't understand why they even chose to show it. It only involved the two girls, no parents or coaches or anything--I don't see why it was newsworthy enough to embarass the players like that. I'm sure they were embarassed enough after it happened.

According to the news they were ejected and that carries a one game suspension.
