Elliott Co. 90 Raceland 58

He usually does. Ethan is a very good on/off ball defender.

Ethan Faulkner absolutley ate up the point gaurd for Raceland. I think Ethan stripped him about 5 times not counting the # of times he knocked it away from him to another teammate.

Those twins are tough cookies--great on and off the floor.

I watched the first three games yesterday. It will be very tough to beat EC. Raceland came out hot & hotter and they were down by halftime. My hat is off to their team, very hard working, they did force a lot of shots. Sometimes in basketball a superior team gets beat because they're outplayed, I don't think that will happen with them. I couldn't stay around and watch the East game, but they're athletic enough to give EC a run on a good night.

To beat EC - It will be tough. Unbelievable competitors for high school kids. Hope Et. Faulkner gets in foul trouble. In a small way I think they lose a little when he is out. Ferguson is a tremendous one on one player, but he forces shots. He isn't the only one, but he is a strong kid and tends to look for his shot more. Try to limit they're offensive rebounds, they are not big but those kids know bball and understand where a ball is going to come off at. They are very very quick, tremendous on ball defense. They can & do get beat off the dribble though. I enjoy watching them because they compete and compete well, athletically they are underrated. In a nutshell, a team is going to have to have a very smart & capable PG with a couple of tall athletic kids in the middle.

Absolute pleasure to watch, well worth the money.

I am glad to see EC doing so well again this year. Kentucky is one of the few states that has not divided their high school basketball programs into classes, such as football is. Granted, EC hasn't played any of the big-city schools as of yet, I feel confident that they would more than hold their own against any team in the state. I had the chance to be in EC last year when they went to the state tournament. The whole town pretty much shut down, so that everyone could travel to watch the team. To see a community support their team to this extent was wonderful. I hope to see them make it to state again in March.

Looks like I was way off base in my assumption. Thanks for the Rams stats. I must have caught the only turnovers (EC's) in my brief periods of the broadcast.

1.) Boyles is a imo one of the tp guards in the region. Would not shock me at all to see a "triple double" out of him at some point this season.

2.) You are not going to beat anyone, let alone a good team with a turnover diference like that.

Boyles and Sparks are just a couple of the Rams coming off of football season that are now getting into "basketball shape". I look for Raceland to be much improved as the season goes on.

I said Rams would have a chance if they protected the ball. They didnt, and got blown out. Mighty Elliott will be beaten when they come up against a team with good ball handling skills. Whether anybody in the 16th has it, I dont know. Should be Elliotts region this year. Just don't get so cocky. It makes everyone else enjoy it when or if Elliott loses.

Who's being Cocky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What posters don't talk it up when their team wins or when a player on their team tears it up, as you just was IMO a little cocky about Boyles. Not taking nothing away from him he is a fierce competitor who had a great game Sat. so you were bragging a little just like Elliott fans who are having a great season so far. Nothing wrong with either of ya's. Most Elliott fans aren't cocky, I know most all of them, but they will go nut's in defense of their team. I would venture to say if Raceland was 4-0 and average margin of win was 48 you yourself would feel a little above normal and it would be deserved. These boy's have worked super hard(every one)

to get where they are at. Not dissing you or your opinion just saying its not really exactly on the money!! Have a great season dude, you have a nice team IMO best we have played so far this year.

Let's keep this thread about the game, and not get personal.

Raceland played well the 1st half. They also shot lights out from the three point line. Elliott looked a little sluggish and took some ill advised shots early. However, their defense picked them in the third quarter with a few quick steal leading to easy baskets and the rout was on. I don't think the Elliott team is feeling too "cocky." They seem to know where their weaknesses have been so far and keep working on improving those areas. We are all aware their will be some fierce competition inside the region as the season goes along.
