Was there a good reason for that or did they just do it because they could? The ramp was not and is not used for anything important with the exception of five minutes before and after the game.

The official reason was that it needed to remain clear in case of emergency. You can imagine the chaos that would enseue from "dozens" of wheelchairs trying to get down that tiny ramp all at once! :rolleyes:
