Who was it that said, "wow a 40 point turn around". I doubt they will admit to it now.

 

They might but I do remember a comment or two like that.

District 5 will be well represented. District 5 third place team, Fairview, played LCA to a score of, I think, 21-14, and Raceland lost by 2 points to a last second FG. I said before the season started that District 5 was the most competitive district in the state and I think this proves it.

 

Normally, the first two rounds of the playoffs are the blow outs, but in this district the most competitive game came in the second round.

 

Good luck to LCA.

It was an exciting win, and I'm THRILLED with what the team has done so far.

 

However, the one thing that baffles me: there are those of us who wonder if the team will ever employ the 5 yard pass (possession passes). It seems that almost all passes are either behind the LOS (screens) or 15 yarders (or longer).

 

But hey, how can you argue with success????!!!!

Hayden continues to amaze me. He takes shot after shot & doesn't seem to slow down. In fact, he dishes OUT punishment a lot more than he takes it. He is almost always dragging one or more players with him.

 

Drew Walls, though small in stature, is a stud at CB. He had his 10th interception of the year, and broke up several other balls thrown his way.

Like I said before, this district is going to be a force to recon with. The closest game for LCA in the playoffs was inter-district play with Raceland.

Hayden is a Beast and one of the best RB I have watched. The Walls kid is amazing and has some great instincts as a DB.

Both have a bright future ahead at the next level.
