We at Ramland are so happy for our friends in Lexington, And hope you all win it all. We have been saying all along that LCA was the best team we faced all year.

 

The best 1A team or the best team? How would you compare them against the powerful 3A teams from Carter County...both defeating the Rams this season? That sentence doesn't sound right now does it! It is pretty tough to use Racelands team this year to judge the quality of competition. They were so up and down this year I don't know what to think about the Ram's season.

I agree on the up & down theory...should have never lost to either Carter County team (no disrespect meant to either team in that statement). There were certainly times this season when Raceland didn't play up to their ability. The first half at LCA proved that (2nd half was a different story). The Rams were kind of Jekyl-Hyde this season.

 

I'm not sure I'd say LCA was the best team on Raceland's schedule, but I'll definitely say (as of the past 2-3 weeks) they've played like they were.

I have said and will continue to say that LCA was the best team that Raceland played "this" season regardless of classification.

That is meant as a compliment to LCA, especially since we (Raceland) have played some pretty good 2A,3A teams and 5A school.

Certainly no disrespect meant to those schools/teams at all - just an opinion (which plenty of others share) and a :thumb: to LCA.

1. About all your returning players for next season :scared: Wow!! I think that we may have an early favorite/ top 2 or 3 Ranked Class A team for next season!

3. I can certainly relate to having the injury bug bite - Raceland had to deal witht that during the regular season as well.

The kicking game for LCA was outstanding. We had one mistake (a muffed punt).

 

Almost every kickoff went into the endzone or landed around the 2. Several punts were 50 yards or more.

 

LCA won the battle for field position all night.

Who was it that said, "wow a 40 point turn around". I doubt they will admit to it now.

 

That would be me...and I have no cares about admitting it. I'm just an observer...you typically don't see a team lose by 20 and then win by 24 a month later. Congratulations to everyone who saw this one coming...you deserve your gold stars for the week.
