Celtics 104 Knicks 59

Featured Replies

The one thing bad with the sports systems is that it is difficult to get rid of malcontents like Marbury.

Knick owner needs to fire Isaiah and cut Marbury.

If I'm the Commish, my #1 issue is to get Larry Dolan to sell the Knicks.

You mean Charles Dolan of Cablevision? Larry Dolan owns the Cleveland Indians. Charles is his brother, but the similarities end there.

He and his son James (who controls the team) don't care. They figure if the team can actually make the playoffs and get on a roll, the fans won't care.

The Knicks and MSG under the Dolans are a textbook example of how not to run a sports franchise, from the locker room to the personnel process to media relations to the front office. Just putrid.

ONe of the Knicks players before the game was talking about the hype for the Celtics. He said until they win something there not should be any hype. The Celtics let their play do the talking.

I think Gardner Webb could beat the Knicks.

Worse even than Mike Brown? That's saying something there.

Wooooo Celtics! It feels good to be a fan again!

So you're admitting that you're a bandwagon fan?

Correct. Thanks.

Vastly. Consider Jim Dolan's reign of error: Failed to make the playoffs since 2004, failed to win a playoff series since 2000, failed to post a winning record since 2001, naming Zeke the GM and later making him the coach and then standing by him in the wake of an $11.6 million sexual harassment verdict against MSG ... He eclipses every other bad sports owner, and the worst part is that he's spending Daddy's money at age 56. Here you have a man who was born on third base, and he thinks he hit a triple.

And here's a little more about Mr. Dolan: http://www.observer.com/2006/knickleheads

So you're admitting that you're a bandwagon fan?

No. If you read any thread on here about favorite teams I have said that the Celtics are my favorite NBA team, and they always will be. Being a fan has been hard at times though, so this is a nice exhale... I'm supposing you took what I said the wrong way.

Wooooo Celtics! It feels good to be a fan again!

BUZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Seattle Seahawks

Boston Celtics

New York Mets

That post is from Who is Your Favorite Pro Sports Team? dated 03/30/2007. They were pretty bad then I do believe... Of course what do I know? I'm just a bandwagon fan.

There ya go, and I'm just givin ya a hard time, it was all in how you worded :D

It does read kind of bad, I agree... If there's one thing that gets me upset, though, it's when my fanhood gets questioned.:fight: I've cheered for those guys through some badddddd years.

Since I have been a sports fan, I've cheered for the same 3 teams... The Mets, the Seahawks, and the Celtics.. All 3 of them have been very up and down in that same time frame. However, my support has always been there... The Celtics have barely been good in my lifetime, so I can't go back to their glory days and say I've been a fan since then... I started being a fan when Pitino took control, and they've been FAR from good since...
