Wireman Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 ...I would give anything if the fans at UK games singed, chanted, jumped up and down, and raised absolute chaos throughout the entire game. Rupp Arena "dies" during most games for tremendously long stretches. Nothing compares to Duke playing at home.
John Anthony Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 If the lower level got that excited it could be a health liability.
Wireman Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 Maybe the lower level should be filled with students that can last the entire game.
John Anthony Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Maybe the lower level should be filled with students that can last the entire game. That would be the debate of building an on campus arena.
Wireman Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 I love Rupp Arena, but the Cats have to go on a 15-2 run to even get anything out of the crowd.
John Anthony Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I don't disagree with you. I would love a student dominated Arena.
oldrambler Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I would love to see that kind of fans at Rupp on the Lower Level. Too many "Stuffed Suits" that are there for a social statement.
GRC4LIFE Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I thought I was going to actually see some Duke props on here.....
Wireman Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 I thought I was going to actually see some Duke props on here..... I love the enthusiam at the Duke games. There is never a moment of silence during the game.
UKPat02 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Article in ESPN Mag this week about how Duke and Coach K are possibly losing its allure to the young kids. It mentioned how last season a good chunk of student seats were empty.
RockPride Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 ^ Looked like it tonight, and by that I mean not at all.
GRC4LIFE Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I love the enthusiam at the Duke games. There is never a moment of silence during the game. Agreed. That just makes beating Duke at Duke that much more tougher. That has alot to do with that 55 game win streak against non-conference opponents.:thumb:
NHS BIG DADDY Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 ^ Looked like it tonight, and by that I mean not at all. Yeah, that place was rockin tonight, and it wasn't even a close game.
Lights Out 30 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Not a Duke fan either, but would love to attend one game with the Cameron Krazies. UK needs to get their students out of the nose bleed.
