I'll have a friendly disagreement with you about the statement in your avatar. The best players from NCC are from Ft. Thomas. Why? Is in intended to make Ft.Thomas look better or degrade NCC's ability to draw from other cities other than yours. It's unfortunate to sit at an NCC game when they announce half time scores and the Highlands score is booed the loudest. Most of the Catholic families in Ft. Thomas do send their children to NCC, always have and always will unless tuition gets crazy. We have all heard enough on this issue, comments like this do nothing but tarnish an otherwise outstanding football program that you have enjoyed for decades. Unless you really get such a big kick out of this, please it it go. I'll bet you feel and sound better in the future.

You may not have noticed, but I am a big supporter of NCC, many friends and neighbors are Breds. My family and I never miss a St Thomas festival because I believe it is important to support ALL of our schools, I really don't care if they are public or private.

I am proud that Ft Thomas produces many good/great student/athletes for both programs. There is nothing negative intended by my statement...actually the very opposite. I have had it that way since before the Jeff Smith days...where was he from again? I remember that there was an article in one of the Ft Thomas papers a couple of years ago (I think it was the year they lost state by a point) talking about the twenty or so NCC kids from Ft T, most of which were starters.

 

If you or anyone else, think I am downgrading another area or town, you are sorely mistaken. Like I said before, I am proud of ALL of our kids. If you can only support those specific kids that go to your school that's ok with me too.

It's been that way for 5 or 6 years without a word being said...I am sure dozens if not hundreds of NCC kids have seen it without it making them cry.

I was really thinking the Breds were going to give this game with Prestonsburg away early as with the fumbles. They are going to have to realize that type of sloppy play will not get you to Pappa Johns. DeSales should have been winning the game the whole time instead of fighting until the end. A lot to work on this next week. DeSales has to make their PAT's and the secondary has to not lose their man in coverage. DeSales could have made a statement with this game making the margin much wider.
