I don't know much about Warren East. Can someone fill me in?

Dont know much about Warren East, except they have a good record and have blown out their first 2 playoff opponents. Fairdale has a good team and can run with anybody. Should be a good game.

Warren East has an entire stable of athletes and a quarterback who can really throw the ball. Several receivers who are 6'1" or taller, and are extremely swift. They spread it out and move everyone all over the field. Nice running game to complement. They have a couple of good linebackers, but the defense can be exploited with a good game plan. They are vulnerable in the return game.

Warren East is all about speed. They are aggressive and did I mention fast?

The passing game for East is a bit overrated. They will hit some long passes but usually this is after the QB has been flushed, scrambles and the defense leaves one of those blue rockets uncovered.

One of their biggest weapons is the quarterback scrambling. He is fast and does a good job avoiding contact.

The best player on the field for East is #1 Shenard Holton. He runs iso with a vengeance and has more than enough in his wheels to break off a big run. Defensively he gets to the ball and brings a lot of thunder. The kid loves contact and loves to make the big hit.

East is better defensively than most give them credit for. They put all those speedsters in LB and DB positions and just race each other to the ball.

Key to beating them. Don't turn the ball over. Maintain possession and drive for scores. Contain the QB, he will kill with his scrambling ability. String out toss sweep and defend iso.

Great assessment by macdon! (Good to see you post again too!) I want to add this: Head Coach Ben Bruni is a no-nonsense type of head coach. If you don't play with heart, you don't play for him. He was a starting OL for the great 1995 BGHS 3A Champs. He learned his trade under Dan Haley and Kevin Wallace. He is generating huge pride in the football team where traditionally the football team always played second fiddle to the basketball team. His intensity is infectious!

I would be proud to see him in Louisville playing for all of the 4A marbles come December. He may be in an enemy camp now, but he'll always be one of my boys!:thumb::D

Warren East 28-20.

Warren East gets what they have been working for since 2005. A 28 to 25 Regional title and ticket to the next round and hopefully more.

I'm thinking the scores of both teams will be in the 30's. The team that sustains more 10+ play drives will win.

You could probably count on one hand the number of 10 play drives WE has had this year.

They are a big play team.

They sure run Iso a lot for a big play style team.

Wait till you see Holton run iso.
