We at Hazard have learned to take nothing for granted and we must show Campbellsville their due respect as they have advanced this far into the playoffs. Our boys are a determined and well coached bunch and have worked hard to advance to the third game of the playoffs. Plus, the game will be on our home field. I feel we will come out victorious once again and then travel to our next opponent's field.

Bridgewater is the workhorse, but the other 2 backs are the ones that really hurt you. This could be an interesting game, especially if Hazard is not hitting on all cylinders or has an apparentlly bad night, like they did at Lynn Camp. Hazard has not been this far in a while, Campbellsville has seen a longer absence. May just come down to who blinks first or who really does want it more. C'ville is better than Evarts and may have more athletes and team speed than Cumberland. Both those games made the "dawgs" work and Cumberland was in position for the kill but could not finish them.

 

Mismatches may be apparent on the field in this game, both ways. When Hazard is on, they seem to be on. When they are mediocre, anyone can play with them.

I think you make some good observations DaddyCat. One correction, however. Hazard played at Somerset for the Reg. Championship in 2006.

Hazard in a very close one. C'ville has won 2 games in a row that in all honesty they should not have won, yet they somehow found a way to do it. So who knows with this group of Eagles they may pull out the upset. Good luck to both teams.

Yep, I forgot the '06 game. Sorry about that. I thought it was Pikeville.

After learning a little more about Hazard, the Eagles have got their work cut out for them. The Bulldogs can run and pass on offense with plenty of weapons to choose from. On defense, they are strong up front and crowd the line with linebackers that like to run and make plays. The key for the Eagles is to with-stand the early game hype and settle into a physical matchup that should be intresting. Campbellsville is just finding ways to win. With only two seniors,( two good ones I might add ) It would be real easy for the young Eagles to be satisfied with the success of a district title. However, don't expect the coaches from Campbellsville to allow that to happen. More Observations Later.

Hazard stays undefeated 41 to 17

I think it would be a serious, serious mistake for Hazard to start sipping the champagne early in this one. Campbellsville has got nothing to lose at all, and when they're playing well things snowball on their opponents. I think this has the trappings of an upset.

Anything can happen in the playoffs and I know that Hazard's players know that. I expect a tough game and hopefully Hazard can pull it out. Hazard in the past has never been a cold weather team. After watching this years version, I think it may be a different story Friday night.
