Wasn't that the game Holy Cross was leading very late in the game and decided to go for it on 4th down around midfield instead of punt? They were stopped and Danville then scored a TD with a few seconds left to take home the hardware.

 

More or less. Danville played Beechwood in the title game that year and absolutely dominated it.

While I'd love to see HC come away with the win and am pulling for them, I don't expect to see it against Beechwood this year.

I would say more rather than less. Coach Rittinger (sp) took the blame for that game.

Oh heavens no, it was back in 1991. At that time all schools in Jefferson county were in 4A, no matter their enrollment size.

Looking for somebody going to this game who would not mind passing along scoring updates to the Frankfort/Mayfield folks.

yes, I am not blaming Coah Reidinger. He was man enough to deal with the loss. He was well liked by the players. He was a great coach.

I agree with you Chilly, however, I thought Davis allthough not used often enough, and Amalong(?) have added the same change of pace Tiepel does, that does not say that Tiepel does not take that to a higher level, just that Davis and amalong have done a great job in his absence.

From what I have seen and heard, Holy Cross has size but not alot of skill to go with it, Beechwoods D, with its two all state canidates should handle them in a workman like fashion.

Agreed. Reidinger was unfairly run out at HC. The program has not been the same since, particularly in the discipline or toughness department.
