November 14, 200718 yr Maybe I missed it but how about Don Knotts Ron Howard come on. This list is bogus. Along w/ missing these 2, Andy Griffith being 19 is almost laughable. He's top 10 if he's nothing. Would also need to put Kelsey Grammar on here. Playing the same character for 20 years has to get you something.
November 14, 200718 yr Well, the show that Howard "didn't do much in TV outside of Andy Griffith" produced #32 on the list, Henry Winkler. Don Knotts did do Three's Company. But besides that many are on the list for a single character, including Henry Winkler at #32. As for Homer, he might deserve to be on the list but not top 10. Milton Berle was one of the people who made television in it's infancy. He helped make it a medium that people wanted to sit down and watch. I think the "Fonz" had a wider cultural impact than Barney Fiffe did. His jacket is in the Simthsonian. But I see your point. You'll get no argument from me about Berle either.
