Vincent Bugliosi (the prosecutor in the Charles Manson murder trial and author of "Helter Skelter", and a book about the O.J. Simpson trial titled "Outrage"), has spent the past decade researching and writing this book "Reclaiming History". It's over one million words (which he wrote in long hand, and had transcribed later) and is about the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963.

It cost $52 today at a book store in Lexington, but I can't wait to read it. The last book I read about the JFK assassination was by Gerald Posner in the mid-'90's, and it was very enlightening. Hopefully this one will add to the knowlege of the of the events on that tragic day. It's getting very good reviews.

Information on the back of the book cover states that the book took Bugliosi twenty years to research and write. He says Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone, shot and killed President John F. Kennedy---confirmed beyond all doubt. It states, "In addition to providing a powerful and unprecedented narrative of events and biography of the assassin, it confronts and destroys every one of the conspiracy theories that have grown up since the assassination, exposing their selective use of evidence, flawed logic, and outright deceptions..."

I was going to say that he is either a) going to say LHO acted alone or; b) there was a conspiracy.

Maybe he should have wrote about the Public/Private Conspiracy. It would have gone 2,000 pages.

I watched TV and read the papers. I was moved by this.

 

Since then I have watched reports, stories, interviews, films, movies, about that day. I've stood on the site and cried. I've been to the building. I know alot about that day. There were more than one gunman. This was 1963 and for the time for the "lone gunman " to fire the shots he would have needed help.

 

I don't like writing long posts (or reading)...Why did Jack Ruby shoot LOH? I also saw that live on TV.

Our government is painfully inept at keeping secrets. I've also read a great deal about this, and nothing on this green earth has convinced me that there was a cover-up. I guess we will just call it a difference of opinion.
