Goodness knows that I would love to see a Cland win, but I have seen Hazard twice, and they are a complete fb team. My heart is with Cland but my head says Hazard 48-20!

I am definitely pulling for Cumberland, but don't know if they can pull the upset tonight. I'm going to predict:

 

Hazard - 35

Cumberland - 24

If Cumberland comes mentally and physically focused and maintains the same level of focus for 4 quarters, they have the talent to make this a great game and possibly win, but if they play like they have many times this year (one solid half and one awful half) they could get beat badly. I am hoping that part of the reason for that has been immaturity, with several of their key players being pretty young. Maybe these young guys have grown up enough to bring it tonight. Good luck Skins, represent the Tri-Cty area with all you have!!!!

If Hazard can effectively RUN the ball, score when the opportunities come, and keep the ball away from the fast paced, big play offense of Hazard, then they can win. They've gotta play up to Hazard's level this week. Being a mountain boy: C-35 H-24

There is some truth to this. In the last eight SECOND ROUND games Hazard has played in, they have lost seven of them. Three other years the Bulldogs have lost in the opening round. Only once since 1993 has Hazard made the regional final and that was last year when they were handled by Somerset.

 

With all that being said, I think this Hazard team is the best since 1993. It seems like Hazard is just really solid. Mix in the fact that you can always count on Cumberland giving up a lot of points in the playoffs; I can't see the 'Skins competing.
