NFL draft - who will the Bengals take?

Featured Replies

Halfway through the season and it's draft talk. Classic!!

:lol: This is the Bengals that we are talking about ......there is nothing else to talk about at this point.

As for the question, I don't think that it matters bc Cincy will find a way to screw it up :irked:. I really feel sorry for the player that they draft no matter who or at what postion.

They better take a good defensive lineman...Dorsey would be great, but if they can't get him, they need to get the best pass rushing DE available, IMO.

If they dont take a D lineman they should lose their right to finish the draft!

Calais Campbell would look nice rushing from the edge.

McFadden in a heartbeat if he is there. He reminds me of Adrian Peterson, not AS good, but close. We need a good running game. Rudi has lost it imo.

Defense definately in rounds 2-4, getting a 3rd or 4th round pick for Rudi.

If McFadden is not there, take Glen Dorsey if he is there, and if he is not there, go to your board of LBs, look at your top LB, and take the next guy down.

Like I have said. Wesley Woodyard would be a good 2nd round pickup.

Who is the top linebacker from Maryland. He seems like a good pick to me.

I would love to see Dorsey trading his yellow stripes for some black stripes.

You beat me to it, had to scan the thread to see if anyone else had already said the same.:thumb:

What about Long the defensive end from Virginia?

I think it is a slam dunk that the first pick will be on a linebacker...

That's what I was thinking as well...he's a freak...a 6'8", athletic DE...I haven't followed how well he's done this season, but I think he has big time potential...Cincy needs to take the best DE/DT that is available when they pick...assuming he is worthy of the position...if it's a stretch to pick a DLineman and McFadden or a great O-lineman is available, then I think you should take him. However, with Cincy's likely pick...I think they should be able to get a worthy DLineman.

But I'm with you...Campbell is the first guy that came to mind after Dorsey.

I like his game a lot from what little I have seen of him while at Maryland.

The best news the Bengals could get is a healthy Brooks, a rusty yet rehabilitated Thurman, healed Pollack and a stud defensive lineman in the draft. I think hitting the powerball would be more likely, it'll probably look more like this, Brooks never heals and blames the Cincy staff, Thurman gets busted after being reinstated, appears at the Levee with Chris Henry, raffling a toy Yoda at the Funny Bone, Pollack takes Dave Baker's job for JP, and they draft a punter.
