November 5, 200718 yr For all of the JP doubters, look at this line...John Parker Wilson 32/46 364 yards 3 TD's 6 rushes 31 yards After watching him against much superior competition, my doubts have been revived.... 14/40 - 234 - 3 td's - 1 int 9 carries - (34) yards - that's a negative 3.8 ypc and a fumble . . . not good
November 6, 200718 yr After watching him against much superior competition, my doubts have been revived.... 14/40 - 234 - 3 td's - 1 int 9 carries - (34) yards - that's a negative 3.8 ypc and a fumble . . . not good For the year... 187/339 2110 yards (234.4 ypg) 14 td's 6 ints + 4 rushing TD's it's not bad either.
November 6, 200718 yr It's decent.....but it is still leaving doubts...he looked completely lost at times on Saturday...and doubted some of the throws that he did release.
November 6, 200718 yr It's decent.....but it is still leaving doubts...he looked completely lost at times on Saturday...and doubted some of the throws that he did release. My main problem with him is that he holds onto the ball to long. There are some times that you just need to throw it away!
November 6, 200718 yr You got to remember their front four is very big and very good. We had two OL guys out due to the textbook scandal. John Parker had a right to feel the heat. 81, Brandon sat out " a Game earlier not LSU". believe me I know my players. I'm not going to "come down on your teams like you do mine', but I'll defend mine to the fullest and I'm honest about them when needed. John Parker will be fine next year with lot of players back, even though we lose our wideouts. The number 1 player in the nation is looking at us. He is from Foley Alabama and he knows we are losing some wideouts and thats what he is. We are holding our teeth.
November 9, 200718 yr This game is just one more example of why you'll never top the SEC for football when it comes to quality of play, excitement, atmosphere, and tradition. Agreed. I was at the game, and the atmosphere alone made any big ten game I have ever been too seem like D2.
November 9, 200718 yr Agreed. I was at the game, and the atmosphere alone made any big ten game I have ever been too seem like D2. Good for you. Traveling to SEC schools for football games in on the "must do before I die" list.
November 10, 200718 yr Good for you. Traveling to SEC schools for football games in on the "must do before I die" list. Nothing like the SEC venues. The one caveat for the SEC venues is you definitely have to pay big boy money to get a ticket to the higher profile games. At all the big 10 venues I have been to, tickets were face value or just a tad higher. At every SEC venue I have been too, tickets are 4-6x face value. I guess you get what you pay for.
