Nice to see the Royals move the ball with the freshman QB at the helm. Mason's defense needs to tighten up a lot, or it will be a brief playoff run this year. The Russell scouts at the game were probably licking their chops.

 

What about Pollitt's hit on the INT by Greenup?!

Good win for the Musketeers. They have improved greatly from the Russell game in week 1. The boys could find themselves playing in week 3. The boys have shown continued to work hard and have shown a lot of pride in what they do. Coach Sammons and the coaching staff have down a great job keeping the boys focused and on track. I like the call in overtime, because it shows the confidence that the coaching staff in the boys. Great game. Now get ready for a good week of practice and get ready for the playoffs.

Okay, I thought you were saying they won the game too, but I do Agree that this game was a moral victory for Greenup and might just boost their play going into the playoffs. By the way who does Greenup get next week and will it be home or away?

Most everybody thought so, too. I was one of those lone voices in the wilderness that thought it would be close (I predicted a 7-point win for MC). This was based on two things - lackluster play the week before by MC; and knowing that a freshman QB would be starting - something you don't plaster all over a message board.:sssh:

 

Congratulations to both teams - to Mason for pulling out the win; and to Greenup for having the guts to go for the win. Good luck to both teams next week in the playoffs.
