Conner, St Henry, Dayton, St. Catherine, St. Therese, Newport, St. Joes, and Highlands. 2 Pools, 4 games for each team. Pool games are 5 6 and 7 PM Tues-Fri. Championship games on Saturday morning.

December 16, 200718 yr Walton Verona has a great 7th/8th teams . The 7th grade girls are undefeated & I believe the 8th girls have only lost 1. These kids play hard and will be fun to watch the next 5 or 6 years. Walton goes into Christmas break with the following records. 7th grade 14-0 8th grade 14-0. Plus they went 2-0 in the middle school state tournament before leaving.

December 16, 200718 yr Most of them play Freshman and had to be back for a Freshman game. The middle school state tournament director was aware that this might happen. Plus, there was no guarantee that Walton would advance that far. So they got to play two games before leaving.

December 16, 200718 yr The parents and the young ladies have put in a wealth of time. They have probably been playing on average 75-100 games per year since the 3rd grade. Good college friends with one of the parents and we have played them in several leagues throughout these years.

However I believe the tourney they played in was the NCKC tourney (8th region) What ever it was, they have played hard and will be fun to watch in the up coming years. Please let me know if I am mistaken. Where did they play and was this a school scheduled game?
December 20, 200718 yr Highlands ( 8th grade) won games over Newport and St Catherines last night in the LadyBirds Holiday tournament. They play St. Therese tomorrow night and move out of pool play over the weekend. Conner is the favorite in the other pool. Word is they are very strong.

January 5, 200818 yr The Newport Ladycats is trying to build their program back up from Middle-School up. They hired some good coaches and have some talented youngladies. Is Alford still coaching?? I had heard he took a varsity head coaching job, he's a great individual, has a good rappore with youth players. I hope the Newport system did'nt let him get away too!!! But good uck too all the girls!!!
