^Just how big of an ole boy are you???

Can one of you muscleheads (joking ;):D) help me? My son wants to really turn up his weight-lifitng intensity for football. He's basically been maintaining status quo during baseball season. I remember a thread in which someone posted a routine on how to increase your bench 50 pounds in 50 days (or something like that) and even printed it out, but have managed to misplace it. He wants to start it this weekend. I couldn't find it on the internet and perhaps one of you guys might be familiar. Just got him the Nano Vapor and Nitro-Tech supplements last night, so he's ready. Thanks much in advance.

Being he is still in school I would ask the advice from a trainer at the local gym. Beter safe than sorry.

A good day for me on the bench today

275x18(new high rep at this weight)

275x17

275x15

275x10

Got back into it last week after about 12 year layoff. Used to max 370 many moons ago, and thought I'd put on 300 to see what was there. Botched it. Form was rusty. Settled for 275. Then did 225 3X8, 215 3X8, 185 3X10. Did that last week M-W-F.

After hurting like Hades this weekend, maxed again Monday and got the 300. 225 3X8. Today, no max, did 225 3X8, form much better, feels pretty good for an overweight 36 year old with sleep apnea and high blood pressure. Like getting back on the bike.

You guys are making me feel weak. I max once at 225 and blew out my shoulder. That was about 10-11 years ago. Since starting back in March I have not tried to max. I have mainly been working out with dumbbells as I usually don't have a spotter. Monday I did 55x10, 60x8, 65x8. That is great considering when I started I was lucky to get 35x10 - 3 times. When I lost my weight I lost all muscle as well.

I was sick and did not get to complete my workout but did get 44 reps with 225 and did that cold.Meaning no warm up set just start at 225 and go.

I did get 225 for 45 but since then I have hit a wall and have slumped badly, again on the bench.
