Another poor day on the bench for me

290 for six needed 8

300 for six needed 6

310 for 4 needed and got 4

320 for 3 needed and got 3

330 for 2 needed and got 2

340 for one needed and got 1

Hopefully I can complete this workout next week.

Dude, props to you for lifting all that weight. Just be careful because I have seen a lot of guys at the gym in their 40's talk about injuries sustained from heavy lifting in their 20's.

I gotta question for ya, how much can you do on the inverted bench press?

Incline Bench I have never tried going heavy. I think I got up to 225 but that was a long time ago.

On the decline(we do not have a decline bench at, the gym I am at now)but at another gym a long time ago I was able to get 265.When I incline and decline or when I did on a regular basis I would use them mostly for shape.

My brother and I just started a few months ago at being serious about benching. In the past I have always disliked benching because I was so weak at it. My new goal is to get 405 by August of this year. Last month I got 365 up.

In the past squatting and leg press was what I always did my heavy weight with but a knee surgery took squatting away and with the recent development of arthritis in my lower spinal cord and in my lumbar vertebra doing legs much at all is out. The doctor says when the back is hurting I can not do legs or back.

A good day for this fat old man.

Hey now with age you retain more muscle mass!

If you don't mind me asking do you use any supplements like a super pump 250 or anything? I imagine protein is a regular part of your diet.

Right now I am taking nothing but a multi-vit.

I have protein powder but can't make myself take it like I should.

I am hoping to take the bench from 330 to 360 by the begining of the new year and I want 225 for at lest 28. My best is still 25.

Anyone else?
