Wow Congratulations to Gordy Dooley! He had an OUTSTANDING race!! Congrats to Snapp as well!!

All the runners did extremely well and it was certainly a great race to watch!!

St. Henry swept the 1A races.

Bell County beat Muhlenberg South to win the girls 2A title. Owensboro Catholic won the boys 2A race

Assumption and Sacred Heart finished 1-2 in the girls 3A race. Manual beat Apollo for the 3A boys title.

OK. I missed my prediction by one public school.

Scribe,

Looks like two schools - unless Bell County is a private school????

Congrats to all the schools. I admire anyone who can train for that kind of athletic endeavor.

I said the privates would sweep 1A and 3A. Manual was the only public to win in those classes. Not really a stretch if you're familiar with the recent history of cross country in the state.

Times were very FAST compared to last year..but the weather was alot better today.

Dooley is unreal. Today was probably the closest race he's had all season.

The girl from Assumption has an unfair advantage - no wind resistance. Great runner.

Hats off to the Conner Cougars for a strong showing on both sides.

Nice job to Kelsey McCain from Pendleton County for winning state. This after her doctor told her she should quit running a few weeks back.

I knew that she had been really hurt this year..but didn't know this.

Got it, I mis-read the original post. Good call;)

Thanks for the shout out about the Cougars .... we have worked hard ... and are starting to see solid progress.

The girls were very impressive .. considering that they were 4th in their region (one of the top girls didn't finish). That is the first trophy that the girls have brought back on a state level.

Plus .. the boys won their 2nd regional title in the last 3 years .....

St. Pat had 3 girls in the top 100 I think, with one coming in 27th I do believe. For a very small school to have even one good runner is good, but we have three, so that is really good.

68, 99, 110 were the Saint's Runners..that still is very good.
