October 15, 200718 yr A Just and Loving God does NOT exclude good and innocent people from Heaven. They do by not making the choice that Jesus is the Lord and Savior. If I can be "good and innocent enough" to earn my way into heaven, what was the purpose of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross? Not trying to be a smart alec, as the sentence before can be read that way but an honest question? If I can "earn" my way into heaven, then Jesus' sacrifice serves no purpose. I do think that Jesus' crucifixiation served a purpose of paying the price for those that cannot make a conscious decision as well as those that can. Aborted babies, as you mention. I repect your views, I just don't happen to agree with them. It is my belief that Jesus died to save all people, even those that have never heard of him. I like your citation from Romans in a later post. Is it not possible to live according to God's law, even if you have learned God's law in a much different form than Christianity.
October 15, 200718 yr Is it not possible to live according to God's law, even if you have learned God's law in a much different form than Christianity. I think Romans indicates it is. BUT, the question is, if they have heard of Jesus Christ and don't accept him as Jesus Christ but reject him, as some Muslims and Jews have done, what status do they now hold.
October 15, 200718 yr I repect your views, I just don't happen to agree with them. It is my belief that Jesus died to save all people, even those that have never heard of him. Are you saying that ALL people will be saved no matter how they lived their lives? I am in the midst of a John 3:16 study by Max Lucado. Here is the precursor to that famous of Scripture: 3In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.[a]" 4"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!" 5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
October 15, 200718 yr After John 3:16, Jesus takes an even firmer stance: 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.[g]

I should have said it a little more clearly. I think Jesus died to offer salvation to all people. Clearly, we have the ability to reject salvation. Do I believe that Jews and Muslims will be in heaven? Absolutely.

Do I believe that Jews and Muslims will be in heaven? Absolutely. My question was do you believe that Jews and Muslims who have rejected Christ as the personal Lord and Savior will be in Heaven? They have heard the message of love and sacrifice that Jesus made for them and chose to not believe it, are they in Heaven?
October 15, 200718 yr I truly expected the next thing out of coulter's mouth to be "Hitler was actually helping the Jews by sending them to the gas chambers, it was teaching them to try to be perfect like the the aryans claimed to be." This is downright hate speech, there is no difference between this snake and David Dukes, She is evil to the core, racist,anti-semitic if you are not a wasp she believes you to be inferior and should be dealt with as such. Toby and Jonas has to be kept down unless they believe as she does so Buffy and Biff can run the world. Conservatives that hate as she does makes me ill

Conservatives that hate as she does makes me ill I guess I am also a snake and an evil person, because I also believe in what she said. By the way I love the Jewish and the Muslim people. I pray they find salvation through Jesus Christ. I had no idea I had so much "hate" in my heart. Ann Coulter may not have been the best person to have made this arguement, but it is the truth. Read the book.

Read the book. I think you are missing the point. The problem isn't the message, it's the way the messenger presents it. Even the Apostle Paul knew how to speak the same message but with a different style depending upon the audience. Check out the way he talks to the Corinthians versus the way he spoke on Mars Hill in Acts.
October 15, 200718 yr Maybe she should have quoted John 14:6 and Romans 10:9. 11:14. Let the Bible speak, the Old Testament is very important, but the Jews need Christ. The road to heaven has a narrow gate and only a few will enter. I don't know much about her. Ezekiel 3:16 All through the Old Testament the choosen people rejected God and his saving grace. People still do today.
October 16, 200718 yr Im a proud republican and have been my entire adult life, but I really think Coulter does more harm to my party than she does good. Its not just this episode, but things like her calling a presidential candidate terrible names that offended a large group of Americans(I think everyone knows what Im talking about). I enjoy Rush and O'Reilly very much, but Coulter is something else. She seems to be getting worse. I enjoyed her first book very much but she seems to not care who she offends now. I know many people like her and that is their right, but she is creating a bigger divide between the 2 parties and I simply dont think that is good. People like Michael Moore to the left and Coulter to the right are creating more partisanship and it could prove to be dangerous. Coulter is very smart and personable but I wish she would tone it down a little.
October 16, 200718 yr Yes, I believe they are. Personal opinion or based on what Scripturally. I would love to believe that those in my family and friends who have died before me and stood that they didn't need Jesus will be in Heaven. I just haven't seen ANY indication in Scripture that is true. And it is not LBBC's call on this matter. I can only go on what Scripture says. If you have read it somewhere, please show me. It also makes all the church outreach and mission work not as important as they can make it in whether they know Christ or not. Yet, again, I don't get that message from Scripture.
October 19, 200718 yr I read the entire transcript of this interview. It is truly unbelievable that people are getting bent out of shape about "What Ann said". In a nutshell, she merely stated that she believes Jews must convert to Christianity in order to gain access to Heaven. Guess what? Most Christians believe this. Most Christians believe the acceptance of Jesus Christ is the only path to salvation. Does this make every Christian who believes this Anti-Semitic? No. People who dislike Coulter love to place "labels" on her everytime she has a disagreement with someone of another religion/ethnicity/sexual orientation etc. If she spars with a Jew, she's anti-semitic, if she fights with an African-American, she's racist, if she speaks out against gay marriage, she's homophobic. So many people in this country have become so thin skinned, it is sickening. If you want to get irate with Ann, get irate over the following statement (one I really love): "Hillary Clinton may become this nation's first female president which will make her the first woman to sit behind the desk of the oval office instead of under it.":thumb: Put that in your pipe and smoke it all you Ann haters. "
