October 8, 200718 yr I think the OSU D is the 2nd best in Ohio... :walk: GT, I don't agree but I have to give you credit. That was nice one. :thumb::ylsuper::lol:
October 8, 200718 yr :thumb::thumb: You nailed it right on the head. His hatred for OSU overshadows the clear thinking just as it did with his pre season hype of his pitiful Red Birds and their chase to become Elite, which by the way will never take place. :thumb::thumb: Bingo!!! :flame:
October 8, 200718 yr The day U of L can come close to playing with the Buck's is the day I would love to see. :thumb::thumb:You nailed it - Unless blue is your favorite color don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen. Comparing the two is really laughable. Lets see now- Tressel vs. Kragthorpe.....Yep :laugh::laugh::laugh:
October 8, 200718 yr The fourth-ranked Buckeyes shut down one of the nation's highest-scoring teams in a 23-7 win over No. 23 Purdue. The Boilermakers had averaged 45 points and 496 yards per game, but Ohio State held them to 272 total yards. tOSU plays Michigan State @Penn State Wisconsin Illinois @Michigan Last 5 games.... two top 20 teams in there. tOSU will have to keep bringing it to avoid 1-3 losses. Almost impossible to believe we go undefeated losing the Heisman winner and 8 NFL draft picks. I think I speak for the rest of the buckeye nation when you say we aren't 2-3 but we are somewhere between 4-7 at this point is a major accomplisment. The defense still had some youth last year and a lot are back this year. The defense is better in my opinion. The offense has 2 RB's who will play in the NFL in Wells and Saine. Also has two WR's who will play in the NFL in Robiskie and Small. Yeah we got our butts handed to us by Florida and we ackowlege it. They were the better team that night. You forget though we beat a more athletic, more physical in Miami of FL team back in 2002. Too say Tressels boys can't play with fast athletes is ridiculous. We make noise every year and not just because of local talent. We use statewide talent and national recruiting. You can only WISH your team had half the defense this team has. Krag couldn't hold Tressels jock strap. tOSU is consistently a good team. UL had a few good years with a few good local running backs. The only bowling you guys are going to be doing is an alley. You come in here to bash tOSU when you will be LUCKY to get passed Cincinnati. :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb: 5 thumbs up on all of these.
October 8, 200718 yr Author I believe the title game this year will feature two teams with 1 loss. And I do not think OSU is going to go undefeated. The gaunlet over the last month will be tough. Hopefully we come out with 1 loss at most.

Illinois gave the Bucks a game last year, but its in Columbus. I see their toughest game bein Michigan actualy then Penn State.

Hopefully we come out with 1 loss at most. I would tend to agree, I don't know if anyone will go unbeaten this season, possibly USF but I don't know for sure who they have left on their schedule. Even if they would go unbeaten it would not completely suprise me to still see two one loss teams in the NC game (depending on who they were) this season. I said before the season maybe 3 losses for the Buckeyes and now watching this team come together and the job that "the Vest ;)" is doing with them once again I am hoping for possibly a one loss season. We will have to see. :thumb: JMO but Jim Tressel is as good as it gets in college coaching as well as in the way he carries himself and represents the Ohio State program, players and university with class.
October 8, 200718 yr I'll say this, it appears that the PC's love USF...if they win out, they will have beaten a ranked UC team, a ranked WVU (Top Ten), maybe a ranked UConn team, U of L and Pitt I guess...they certainly wouldn't slip in the computer rankings (well maybe U of L would hurt them ).
October 8, 200718 yr Here's my take on the rest of the way out for OSU. Michigan State- I don't expect too much trouble out of the Spartans, especially at home. @Penn State- Night game at Happy Valley. I still think PS is overrated and I think they will have problem with OSU's running game. Their offense isn't too much to speak of. Wisconsin- Struggled against a good Illinois team, its at the shoe which is a big advantage for OSU Illinois- This team scares me, I'm glad its at OSU, but they have a solid squad. @Michigan- Michigan will be Michigan, throw out all records and everything, they will be tough. Could Carr's job be on the line?? They will be ready to play and they would love to knock out OSU if they are still highly rated. I'll be the first to admit OSU hasn't had the toughest schedule, but there is much more medioricty this year than previous years, which drops others IMO.

Last year Illinios gave OSU all they could handle ( 17-10 OSU win ) but this Illini team is better than last years. Penn State won't be easy, the last time the Buck's played Joe at his house they lost. Your right, Michigan will be Michigan no matter if they are 0-11 or 11-0 going into that game. IMO I think the Buck's can go unbeaten but it won't be an easy road.

From what I have seen from 08-thru 2017 OSU has games scheduled with the following teams home and away in order: USC X 2 Miami U X 2 Cal X 2 Virginia Tech X 2 Oklahoma X 2 I am not sure if all the contracts are signed but that is what ive seen on the web. Not too shabby.

His hatred for OSU overshadows the clear thinking just as it did with his pre season hype of his pitiful Red Birds and their chase to become Elite, which by the way will never take place. You hope it will never take place. Talk about hatred for a team... ouch. That must have hurt the Cardinal fan. It's ok, U of L might, and thats a big MIGHT, go bowling  The day U of L can come close to playing with the Buck's is the day I would love to see. I honestly think that UofL would probably have beat them last year. With Bush I don't see them losing to OSU last year whatsoever. I think OSU is a top 10 team easily, but not top 3. I think they are better than last year's team and that they also have the 2nd best defense in the nation which will be around for quite a while being that out of the 1st and 2nd string they only have 1 senior! I think there's a good chance they'll run the table in an average Big 10 conference but I will still have to hold my end judgment of this team until their bowl game.

IMO they are a top 3 team, and this years defense is better than last years, but the offense isn't even close. The Big 10 isn't like the SEC we all know that but they are a tough confrence and they are a lot better than what people put them out to be.

You are however correct on one thing. I do dislike the Cards (I don't use the word hate) but I don't take the time to trash them in every post or thread like some of the UL fans do to the UK or OSU program, but that could change in the near future;). I said it before and I will say it again, The Cards have never been an Elite program as some have suggested and it seems under the guidance of their new coach they may never reach that status.

Well, you obviously don't want it to happen... and "never" is something that you can't control so that's just a complete guess on your part. UofL was well on their way with what Smith started and Petrino finished. Time will only tell in the future with Kragthorpe and who knows what will happen after him.
