October 7, 200718 yr UK is still playing ABOVE pre-season expectations (unlike some other teams....) :thumb::thumb: and :sssh: - Great Post Bluto.
October 7, 200718 yr South Carolina if flat out better. There is no bit. The athletes aside from a few are flat out better. I hope everyone knew UK wasn't the #8 team in the country. 15-20 is about right. They have to play almost perfect to have a shot at beating UGA and UT. ^Disagree on the perfect to beat UGA and UT. That gap is much closer.

I wouldn't say that SC is flat out better than Kentucky. Yeah they won the game but UK had how many turnovers? Kentucky cuts out the mistakes and they possibly win this game. Yeah, maybe the #8 ranking was to high but I would say they are a top 12-15 team. And UK doesn't have to play perfect to beat either of those. UGA will be very tough since it is played at Georgia, but UT won't be as tough as it has been in the past.

I'm really not sure what football you have been watching this year.
October 7, 200718 yr Eaxctly which tems in the country could look like they are ready for the primetime in this three game stretch? If Louisville had to play this same three game stretch right now, it would be U-G-L-Y. Is that the best argument you all have? All we've heard about the first five games is how good UK is, and now we'll find out how good they are. We all know Louisville wouldn't do well in this stretch of games, you all have beaten that horse to death. And besides this argument isn't about LOUISVILLE, its about KENTUCKY.

Once again, which teams in the country would look like they are ready for primetime in this stretch? Can you name one team that you honestly feel would go 3-0 playing at SC on Thursday night, then playing LSU and Florida in back to back games?

We've heard for five weeks up to this point how good UK is....It's time for them to put up, or shut up, plain and simple....
October 7, 200718 yr We are talking about KENTUCKY... We've heard for five weeks up to this point how good UK is....It's time for them to put up, or shut up, plain and simple.... What is your criteria for proving themselves in this stretch? Go 0-3 but look competitive? Beat just one team? Beat LSU and Florida (once again I don't think any team in america could do that)? Or have they already failed in your eyes because they lost to SC?

If UK is as good as some have advertised, they would have beaten USC, and one of the two between LSU and Florida. The USC game should have been worse than it was, but Smelley played pretty poor, IMO. UK has the next two at home, so they have a definite advantage in that sense. Can they capitalize on either?

Smelley played poor?? I guess throwing for over 250 yards and 2 TD's as a FRESHMAN is poor to you then what is good? Kentucky would have beaten SC minus the TO's and mistakes.

I agree UK's turnovers DEFINITELY hurt them in this one. But I know there are several people that feel the same about Smelley...He was not on target most of the night, over throwing open receivers and whatnot. Had he really been on his game, UK could have lost by a couple more TD's, IMO.
