Should this score surprise everyone?

Trimble County came in with a great game plan and lead 14-7 at half. Frankfort shot themselves in the foot all night with penalties. Second half was mostly Frankfort as they adjusted and started pounding the ball inside. Quan Weaver had a tremendous second half as he got most of his 199 rushing yards after half. Final should have been 27-14 but Trimble was picked off the last play of the game and EJ Fields ran it back 60 yards as the horn sounded to make the final 33-14. Trimble County gave it all they had and gave the Panthers all they wanted.

 

Could a mod merge these threads we must have been typing at the same time.

Closer game than the score indicates.

Not really... Franfkort is definately one of the front runners in 1A, but Trimble has established themselves in the 10-15 range of the class and has a loyal following on the site. Aytime you have an upstart program with a chance to make a statement, you have to be on upset alert, but it appears as though frankfort took care of business.

Tight game at the half and FHS scored on the last play on an interception by EJ

Not bad for the boys from Trimble.

Bird only had around 80 yards total running with over 20 carries.

Frankfort came out flat (IMO due to fall break) FHS came out opening drive drove 70 yards for a TD. FHS had 2 turnovers Trimble Co. took advantage in first half. Trimble led 14-7 at half.

 

FHS came out ran the ball. Quan Weaver had big second half for the panthers. FHS fumble on the 3 yard line late in the game. IMO FHS ran up down the field all night. Penalties and Turnovers killed several drives for FHS.

Jordan Morgan rushed 137 yards

EJ fields rushed for 112 yards

Panthers need to find a way to stay focused over the next 2 weeks of fall break.

Game much closer than score indicates. Trimble led 14-7 at the half and the score was 21 -14 with 3. oo minutes to go in the game Trimble turned the ball over on downs at their own 30 yard line andFrankfort scored and Fields returned a int on the last play of the game. Raiders get close for the second time but can not get over the hump. Maybe last year was not a fluke and how could the panthers be "flat" after last years game and all that bulletin board material up in the frankfort locker room.

 

Congrats to Frankfort and keep working Raiders, you may get another shot at the Panthers.
