True but I don't think anyone considered them the fourth best team in the region by a long shot and they were never a threat to win the region. Nonetheless they did upset someone in the first round to get there proving that anything can happen.

 

They should be a top four team this coming season. Having the district tournament at Ashland will help them a lot.

 

Bill Bradley deserves a good season but Merle Kidwell deserves a trip to Bowling Green (as a participant rather than as a spectator).

 

Why does Kidwell deserve a trip to Diddle before Bradley? Just curious? I personally think both coaches are deserving (along with several other 16th region coaches).

Let me be touchy, feely and say that I sincerely wish that all of our coaches and teams could go since all of them deserve it. However, since only one will go, I would like to see Kidwell have the opportunity. Then, maybe the next year, Bradley can go. Or, should I want Bradley to go this year and Kidwell the next year?

Okoro is only an eighth grader.

As I stated last year, I have no favorite team or coach in the region. I could care less - let he best team go to state regardless of the coach. Talk about trying to make something out of nothing.....

Cubster posted that they moved to the Chicage area. The Okora family was a fine asset in the community and the move is a loss for the entire area and not just for Russell.

They were in for the weekend. Chinwe was at Russell HC crowning this year's queen.
