Henry, do you think any of the Birds will be walking out of the lockerroom? Think any will be lollygagging across the field even if they're down 21?

 

I heard from a little birdie that Hoptown was extremely fired up at the beginning of the game. That was a five hour bus trip and they approached the field ready for battle. It wasn't until just before half that moral may have faltered. I'm sure the injuries contributed to the down spirit but I would never judge the way they walk out of a locker room after half and compare that to the cause of the final score of the game.

Highlands will be making the trip to Hoptown next year.

The Hoptown folks left around 6:30 AM their time. They tried to find a place up here to eat lunch. Said they couldn't find anyplace close. THey ended up at Frisch's.

I think I would like to break the trip up mid-way. Alot depends on what time we would play at Hoptown and the time difference(?). I plan on a tailgate when we get there. It is a stop in the middle of the trip I'm worried about.

During the 3rd Qtr. Mrs. Streaker went down to the field towards the south endzone to escape the biting nats. She said it was worse at field level than in the stands!

Dude, I think you need a new name for the Wife. She was swatting pretty hard on her legs. They were fire red. Not that I was looking or anything!

Hey guys we played Boone Co. and our round trip was around 7 hours and we went up played at 7 pm eastern time and got home between 1 and 2 am eastern time. All I know is the boys left at 11:30 and stopped about half way and ate lunch then stopped somewhere else and then got to the game a few hours early. We had several parents that went up early in a motor home and tailgated and let me tell you it was just fun to get up there early and socialize and relax before the game started. Win or lose it was a good experience for the Devils fortunately we won but I think on all the long trips just my suggestion is make it a day and pack the grill and tailgate get everyone to pitch in and have a good time.
