September 18, 200719 yr I think there's a distict possibility Marvin Lewis is the most overrated coach in pro football. How long will he be given without producing some playoff success??? If they do fire him, I hope they sign Lou Holtz, or that guy from "Varsity Blues."

September 18, 200719 yr Author Hopefully it dont come down to us missing the playoffs... It very well could given how well the Steelers are playing and given how good the Ravens' defense is (plus, some of their injuries will be healing soon).
September 18, 200719 yr I say he should barring some crazy circumstance. All this talent on offense isn't getting any younger, and Marvin is a "defensive" coach who's defense hasn't been very good. This mixed in with the off the field issues may lead to a needed change.

Well there would be no reason to even get rid of Breshnahan then if Lewis was to just take over the defense. Make no sense to get fire him, bring in a new defensive coordinator even though they wouldn't be calling the plays....

I'm worried that if Coughlin left Lorenzen's chances of making the team next year would be hurt some. I heard that Coughlin really likes Lorenzen.
