No one ever said they wouldn't be....Also I don't remember anyone saying the UK offense was unstoppable.

I firmly believe that we'll see a healthy dose of Cover - 2 man under....I like it.

If we get cover 2 man under then KY WILL have a field day running the football and Tamme will have a big day.

I honestly just can't see either team stopping the other consistantly. It's going to come down to turnovers and special teams I think. I really hope UK puts some pressure on Brohm in what should be a rocking atmosphere!

After Murray had a little success in the first half I fully expected UL to come out fired up on national tv against MTSU and completely shut them down. That obviously didn't happen, so how UL fans think they will be much better against a much better team just seems to be wishful thinking to me. I do believe they will be better how much remains to be seen. I also don't think UK's defense is much better than UL's, so should be a fun game on the offensive side of the ball.

Mark it down. If Keenan Burton is locked down it will not be because of man to man coverage. It will only be because he is double and triple teamed. Honestly I do think UL's defense is better than it showed last week, but I do not see anyone locking down UK's offensive weapons either.

I don't like UK being picked in this game. This is a plus for the Cards. They now have a point to prove coming into this game. Woodson stated that this will be their statement game, and I hope he is right. But the DT's getting injured on a soft run defense already, makes me more than a little bit nervous.

 

On a positive note, Jason Leger was the SEC O Linemen of the week! Great job for the big boy from The Rock!

If the O-line gives Woodson time...I'll take my chances with he, Burton, Lyons and Tamme against man coverage from any team in the nation. DB's tend to be much better in pass coverage when their front 4 pressure the QB...if U of L can't pressure Woodson, they'll have to bring Kerry Rhodes and Sam Madison back to stop UK from passing the ball down the field.

 

Same goes on the other side...if UK can't pressure Brohm, U of L will have an even easier time scoring than UK.

 

So, I'll take it a step further and instead of saying defense is the key, I'll say whichever front seven can't be more effective at stopping the run and pressuring the QB will win the game. Forget about the DB's for either team...if the QB's have time to throw, they'll be overmatched, IMO.
