Foster did have a nice game and the interception was a great play.

Coach McGlone worked ALOT of young kids in tonight even in the first quarter looking at different combinations. Still some questions in the secondary but I think the lineup will be worked out in the next couple of weeks.

Also Bates is really running the ball and seeing the holes well. He would be my player of the game.

I love my Red Devils and want them to do well. They have got to get the problem fixed with giving up early scores as stated by The Red Rambler.

I don't remember seeing Coach Morris on the sidelines tonight. Did someone else see him?

Does anyone remember that they did the same thing the past 2 years. They'll get things fixed and they'll be fine come playoff time.

Tyler did make some nice plays tonight, but the guy I saw making the big hits tonight was Adam Foster. On 4 straight kickoffs he brought down the return guy. He then had a real nice interception where he stayed home and didn't buy into the belly-fake by the offense. I said this last week, but seems like to me each game he is getting better and better.

Evan, Tobey and Adam also opened some very nice holes for the backs tonight.

Russell 3-0 Ashland 0-3 (sounds like the making of a "trap" game), but after last year's loss at Ashland, I don't see Russell have a let down against them.

I'll say this........ Russell will not have a let down next week. They want to play Ashland so bad it hurts. It's all they've been talking about since last year. "Can't wait to play Ashland".......blah blah blah. They will be fired up to have the Tomcats in town, whether they are 0-3 or 3-0. It doesn't matter to them, it's Ashland. I'm not predicting an outcome, i'm just saying that they will be fired up for the game.

West played a tough game - they are improving as a program ... I don't think they will ever beat the Devils consistently.

Devils D needs to find toughness up the middle other than Jones ... Devils are always very good running to football but Belfry will bring it between the tackles .. We have to be able to shut down Belfry fullback. This was key to winning in 2005,2006 and the loss in 2004. Jones is in the middle for this toughness but needs help ... What are Wills or Timberlake doing ? Still young group they are improving and for sure can do it ..

Devils O backfield starting to settle in ... Line still needs work but is improving ... Again have to be able to knock Belfry off the ball - wing t will not trick Belfry ...

Intensity - Devils expect to win , but never come out in first series on D with real intensity. Not alot of hitting in practice but without a doubt the old coach has proven he knows what he is doing and it always works .. So first series problems are not a worry ...

The Devils do not need to worry about anything Belfry is doing. Unless they get it together and start playing Russell's style of football there will not even be the opportunity to get to Belfry. The players need to take it one game at a time and so do many of the fans.

As for the first series not being a worry. What about the time that they get scored on in that first series and are not able to come back. Do you realize that Russell has played from behind in every game so far this year. They keep doing that and will run up against someone that will use that first drive to their advantage.

Never settle for mediocre! Which is what Russell is doing most of the first quarter in every game so far.

Wills is going to play football at Georgetown. As far as I know Timberlake is doing absolutely nothing with football.
