Like next football season. Almost all of these players will be back next season, and they will be very experienced. Ashland will be tough next season. Of course, I still think they will win some games this season as well.

 

Not disagreeing with u, but we hear this every year.....Once again, they will lose Thomas and a lot of other players that are factors on this team. Ashland is not that young, the will graduate a lot of kids...You could say they have some great talent coming back(Carter as example), but they also lose some great talent (Thomas as Example).

Likewise, I am not disagreeing with you, I was going on what I have heard that their O line will be back, with some experience, and Carter who appears to have the ability to be a very good RB. I'm not sure what they will lose on the D side of the ball. But, I think most of their linemen are sophomores and juniors.

I believe at some point in time Ashland has had atleast 4 sophomores but there are a whole lot of reasons for this. But you are right I think that Ashland is inexperienced not young.

There is alot of talent out there and throughout the years these players have shown that but using the talent Ashland has is a different story..:thumb:

Ashland is inexperienced because they lost 20 starters from the year before. When you return only 2 starters on your entire team you're definitely going to be inexperienced and it takes a lot of time to get experience and get used to the speed of the game if you haven't been exposed to it before. It's not the coaches fault that they lost so many good players, they are running tough practices and have been hit by the injury bug pretty badly too.

Honestly I'm not sure its so much the inexperience as it is lack of talent and lack of team leadership. This years senior class is honestly pretty pitiful other than Matt Thomas. Every year we have had a quality senior class and quality captains who know how to lead, know how to win, and know what it takes to win and make everyone else follow their lead. Bonner, Mcdavid, Gallagher, Davis, Holbrook, Brislin, Reliford, Gurule, Robinette, Hensley, Clark are all quality leaders who have been through the fire. Our captains this year and our seniors are not leaders.
